See What Microsoft 'Surface' Tab has to Kill iPad

2. Surface vs iPad – A “Touchy” Issue

Apple and Android now have a competitor in the tablet market. Microsoft’s new Surface tablet is a strong competitor for Apple’s iPad and a lot of people are dubbing Surface as the “iPad killer”. The feature that is considered to be the biggest threat to the iPad is the 3mm-thick Touch Cover. This cover joins the tablet with the help of a built-in magnetic connector and that forms a natural spine and ends up working as a protective cover. Unfortunately Apple doesn’t offer anything that compares to this.

With its Touch Cover, Microsoft is trying to bridge the gap between a laptop and a tablet unlike Apple. And going by the looks one can safely say that Microsoft has set off in the right direction with the Touch Cover.

Touch Cover isn’t the only touchy issue which could give Apple a few hiccups.  Attributes like VaporMg casing, integrated kickstand and the Window 8 operating system with a whole new interface giving you an escape from those boring rows and columns of apps are some of the notable specs that could make Apple cry about.
