Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 10.1

Bangalore: Samsung has unveiled its second tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1. It is the second tablet by the Samsung after the first Galaxy Tab, which was launched last year.
The tablet comes with a 10.1 inch display and runs on Android OS-3.0. It has other features like 1280 x 800 resolution, 8MP rear-facing camera with auto focus and a 2MP front-facing camera. Along with this, it also has 02.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, proximity sensor, accelerometer, digital compass. The device also allows full HD video-recording.
It has 1GHz Dual Core processor powered by Nvidia Tegra 2, which is similar to that of LG-G Slate and Motorola Xoom. Though it has a dock connector but doesn't have a HDMI-out for high-definition playback. The tablet will be available in two versions which will have different storage space- 16 or 32 GB.
Weight of the device is less when compared to that of iPads. Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs about 599g and has a depth of 10.9mm while the iPad weighs 680g and has a depth of 13.4mm. The battery life of the device seems to be impressive with 6860mAh battery in it. The tablet comes with a textured back which makes its looks more attractive.
The device is likely to be in Europe and Asian market by this spring. The price of the table is yet to be announced.
