Samsung Series 9000: World's slimmest HD 3D LED TV
Bangalore: Samsung Electronics has launched its new full HD 3D LED TV in India, Series 9000. It boasts of being the world's slimmest HD 3D TV in market, with its screen as thin as 7.98mm. The Series 9000 is available in 55 inch screen size and is priced at 
440,000.
Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India, said on the launch, "The new offering from Samsung has the capability to convert 2D content to 3D content live through CD chip."
The Series 9000 TV comes with 2X 15wfront-facing speakers. It also has Wi-Fi support and built-in Ethernet connection. The AllShare feature of the TV allows users to wirelessly connect their TV with compatible mobile devices.
The series is equipped with four HDMI ports. There is also a USB port to play various multi-media files directly from the flash drive or USB HDD. The remote control that comes with the TV is touch screen with three inch color display an earphone jack and Twin View. The remote has a QWERTY keyboard, and processing speed of 2.4 Ghz. Its integrated Wi-Fi and infrared technology controls the TV, STB and AV devices with on-screen buttons.
Samsung is eyeing a growth of 40 percent in its revenues this year. While the 3D TV market is expected to grow with greater availability of 3D content, it is certainly a good time to do business in this genre.
