RIM announces Blackberry Curve 3G on T-Mobile


Bangalore: Blackberry makers Research in Motion (RIM) is ready with their latest smartphone, the Blackberry Curve 3G 9300, which will come out from T-Mobile in the next few weeks. T-Mobile has not made any announcement regarding the pricing of the phone as of now. The Curve 3G will be loaded with a 624-MHz processor, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and 3G HSDPA Internet connectivity. It will have a 2.4 inch display screen and a 2MP camera. The Wi-Fi of the phone is noted for 'data and voice' and will work with T-Mobile's Hotspot@Home voice-over-Wi-Fi system. Other features of the phone include an optical trackpad, a 3.5mm audio jack. The device has an internal memory of 256 MB and can be expanded to 32GB using microSD card. It comes with Blackberry 5 OS. The device will get an upgrade to the new Blackberry 6 OS, which will bring a new Web browser and lots of new media features to the phone. However, no date has been mentioned by both RIM and T-Mobile for the upgradation.
