Max Donelan is working on a device that captures energy as we walk with a generator attached to our legs. "As long as you're walking, you have access to energy," says Mr. Donelan, who is Bionic Power's chief science officer. The device, which is being made by Bionic Power, captures energy by selectively turning on a generator at certain parts of the stride.

nPower PEG is already there in the market, the Wang’s power suit is about two years away and the Mr. Donelan’s device is about to hit the market. So even if the battery technology is moving slow, the charging technology is filling the gap.
