OnePlus Unveils OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R and Buds 3 in India
OnePlus has introduced the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, and OnePlus Buds 3 TWS, following the OnePlus 11 series. These high-end smartphones will rival Samsung's Galaxy S24 and Vivo's X100 series in the Indian market. Maintaining its partnership into the 4th generation, OnePlus collaborates with Hasselblad for the OnePlus 12. Both devices run on OxygenOS 14, which is built on Android 14.
The OnePlus 12 boasts a triple rear camera arrangement led by a 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens featuring 6x in-sensor zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide camera with a generous 114° field of view. For selfies, the device is equipped with a 32MP front camera. The OnePlus 12 features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with Dolby Vision and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Achieving a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, the display enhances the visual experience.
The OnePlus 12 features a 5,400mAh battery supported by a 100W wired charger. It also supports wireless charging. OnePlus has used Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in OnePlus 12 equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 ROM. It is the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 device to be approved as Snapdragon Spaces Ready used in head-worn extended reality. Similarly, the affordable variant in the series, OnePlus 12R, gets Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. There’s a 5,500mAh battery in OnePlus 12R accompanied by a 100W charger.
The OnePlus 12R features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing support for Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ with 10-bit color. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. In terms of camera capabilities, the OnePlus 12R is equipped with a 50MP Sony sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, complemented by a 16MP front camera. Additionally, the OnePlus Buds 3 is equipped with 10.4mm drivers, and a 6mm tweeter, and offers ANC up to 48 dB, boasting a total playback time of 44 hours.
The OnePlus 12 is offered in two configurations: a 12GB/256GB variant priced at Rs 64,999 and a 16GB/512GB model available at Rs 69,999. Similarly, the OnePlus 12R comes in two versions an 8GB/128GB variant at Rs 39,999 and a 16GB/256GB option priced at Rs 45,999. The OnePlus Buds 3 will be obtainable at a cost of Rs 5,499.
