Bangalore: Nokia has introduced its new handset, N900 in India. It is the only Maemo powered device, which will be available in the market towards the end of this month for 30,639, writes Kunal Gangar for Tech Ticker. It runs on Symbian operating system (OS) that currently powers Nokia smartphones like N97, N97 mini and 5800XM. The N900 is the first device from Nokia to marry the internet tablet with cellular capabilities. The phone has interesting features like ARM Cortex A8 600MHz CPU, PowerVR SGX GPU with OpenGL ES 2.0 support and a five megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. Apart from this, it also has 3.5-inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, 3G, 32GB of internal memory, GPS, FM Transmitter, Bluetooth and microSD card slot, expandable up to 16GB. The front side is covered with a large 3.5-inch display and has a sliding form factor that reveals its QWERTY keyboard. It's a well-build multitasking device. With Maemo, a Debian-based Linux distro, users can have a good multimedia experience with N900.
