Nokia HMD Launches Affordable Smartphone in India

HMD Global is gearing up to introduce its inaugural Nokia-branded smartphone in India. Prior to the launch, the company has disclosed the moniker of the device. This marks the debut of an HMD-branded smartphone, slated to hit the market as the 'HMD Aero'.
Nevertheless, the company has opted for varied names for its smartphones across different markets. As per NokiaMob, HMD's inaugural device debuted in Europe as the Pulse, whereas in the US, it hit the shelves as the Vibe. Presently, the company is preparing to unveil this smartphone in India, bearing the name 'HMD Aero'.
The name of the phone has been announced in a 45-second clip on the X handle of HMD’s official smartphone partner Rajasthan Royals. The company claims that it is the fastest smartphone in India. The company says that the upcoming handset will feature a great camera, display, and great design. According to a report by Gizmochina, the handset will be a budget-centric smartphone and will be offered with similar features as the HMD Pulse.
According to a report, the Aero might be a rebranded version of the HMD Pulse, showcasing a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 480nits brightness. Equipped with the Unisoc T606.4G chipset, the device operates on an Android 14-based operating system. HMD's phone is slated to receive two major OS updates and three years of security patches. It houses a substantial 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
Regarding the camera setup, the Realme X is equipped with a 13MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity features comprise Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 5.0, NFC, a headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging. Anticipated features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance. The smartphone is offered in a variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
