MTS Launches MTS Duet - The Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) Smartphone

Bangalore: Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand today announced the launch of MTS Duet – the dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) Smartphone. This is part of the Company’s strategy to offer greater choice to its customers.

MTS Duet comes packed with a vibrant 8.89cms (3.5”) 320X480 (HVGA) pixel display with capacitive touch, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon S1 processor featuring a 1GHz CPU with integrated CDMA and comes with a 1200 mAh battery. MTS Duet features a 3 Mega Pixel camera; high speed Wireless Tethering - Mobile Hotspot, an expandable memory slot of up to 32 GB. The Smartphone will be available for 4,799.

According to Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, MTS India, “At MTS it is our endeavor to come up with innovative telecom solutions to delight our customers. The latest in our range of Smartphones is MTS Duet - a great combination of style and technology. The Smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon S1 processor and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. Aimed at the on the move, tech savvy youth, it comes bundled with aggressive High Speed Data and Voice plans.” Leonid added, “MTS will launch a slew of dual mode smartphones this year, powered by MBlaze Data network to provide seamless data experience to the customer”.

As an introductory offer, customers just need to do a first recharge of 599 to enjoy unlimited local calls and data usage for 2 months. To start off – the handset will be exclusively made available in Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore and Chennai.
