Micromax Unveils Dual-Boot Tablet At CES 2014
Bangalore: Micromax, India’s second-largest Smartphone manufacturer upped its game at CES 2014 unveiling one of a kind dual-boot tablet dubbed “LapTab,” reports The Indian Express. By the looks of the device, the company does not want to pass up on the opportunity in the international arena to showcase their latest innovation.
This LapTab’s highlight feature is its ability to boot both Android (Jelly Bean) and Window 8.1 operating systems, however users will have to reboot the tablet to actually switch between two. The device houses Intel’s Bay Trail-M, a low power SoC (System on Chip) of the Silvermount family that is aimed at tablets and notebooks, making it one of the first tablets to house this chipset. The 1.4GHz Celeron processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and a beefy 7400 mAh battery should provide excellent performance and battery life according to the company.
