INQ Cloud Touch: Facebook-powered Android phone


Bangalore: INQ has launched smartphone Cloud Touch, with Facebook at its front of the OS. The smartphone that runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) will put the chats, contacts, events, notices, places and the news feed at the front by using short cuts and widgets. It also has an automatic connection to Spotify. Users will be able to access and maintain the playlist in similar way as they do in their computers. This can be done by paying a premium subscription fee. Cloud Touch, has a touchscreen display of 3.5-inch HVGA, a 5MGP camera with auto-focus and 4GB microSD card. It has 600 MHz processor and an internal memory of 4GB. The phone that comes in bright colours is aimed mostly at the facebook users who are mainly concerned about social networking along with basic device features. INQ has also announced the launch of Cloud Q with a QWERTY keypad phone and 2.6 inch touch screen with the similar basic formula. Cloud Touch is likely to be available in the market by the second quarter of the year. The details on the cost of the phone are yet to be disclosed.
