The competition in terms of resolution is furious in television market and all the major player like LG, Toshiba and Sony seems to be determined to give their best in this field. The high-resolution war is now played with 4K TVs which comes with 4000 pixel density.

4K TV comes in two high definition resolutions: 3840 x 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 pixels, this means 4K TV have four times the high definition resolution of 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) which is the main current consumer high definition resolution standards.

Sony’s upcoming XBR-84X900 4K TV showcased at IFA 2012 produces brilliant images when compared to other 4K TVs from LG, Toshiba and Hisense. Other appreciable feature in this massive 84-inch Sony TV is its detachable speakers and the attractive floor stand.

Even though Sony and other vendors hyped their 4K TVs a lot, but the downside of these TVs are the lack of native 4K content, the size of the TV (all are large screened) and most importantly the huge price tag.
