IFA 2012: 10 Gadgets to Expect
8. Sony Xperia Tablet
Last year at IFA Sony unveiled two tablets Sony Tablet S and bizarre split-screen Tablet P with futuristic design but couldn’t do much in the market. Now Sony is all set to launch another tablet named as Xperia Tablet with a similar design as Tablet S.
The specs are not yet officially disclosed but it is expected to sport a 9.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, powered with a Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Sony might rollout Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update while launching.
The Xperia Tablet will be available in three variant; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacities. Along with this Sony will also showcase compatible accessories for Xperia Tablet such as keyboard cover which we expect it might look like Microsoft Surface Tablet’s cover.
It is also said that the tablet will feature aluminum casing and not plastic. For connectivity options it will have both USB and HDMI ports.
