6. Samsung Galaxy Player

Finally Apple’s hottest selling iPod touch got a rival from Samsung. The company is supposed to showcase Galaxy Player in the event. The device sports a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy S III. It features 5.8 inch qHD touch screen display, powered with 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with its very own TouchWiz user interface.

The Galaxy Player also features 3 mega pixel rear facing camera and a VGA front facing camera. Furthermore it comes loaded with 2500 mAh battery, a microSD card slot for expandable memory and will hit market in two variants; 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory.

The device will also have features like AllShare Play streaming support and Samsung ChatOn messenger service. For connectivity it has all common connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Analysts predict that the Galaxy Player might hit the stores shelves after the IFA event.

Along with the Galaxy Player, Samsung might also announce the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its flagship Smartphone Galaxy S III.
