Huawei to Launch Two Android Smartphones in India
Bangalore: Chinese mobile manufacture Huawei will be launching two Android running smartphone this month in India. The two smartphones will come under Ascend series and will be dubbed as Ascend Y200 and Ascend G300.
The first model, Huawei Ascend Y200 will be powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon Cortex-A5 processor, Aderno-200 graphic processing unit and will be paired with 256MB of RAM. The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, sports a 3.5 inch touchscreen and has a 3.15 MP primary camera. For connectivity it comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, up to 32 GB of expandable memory and 1250 mAh battery. There are no details regarding it price, but looking at the specifications it can be assumed as the entry level smartphone to be priced around
10000.
The second model Huawei Ascend G300 is the big brother or can be considered as the improved version of Y200. The device also runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system but comes powered with a bigger processor with 1GHz clock speed and 512 MB of RAM. It sports a 4 inch touchscreen, 5 MP autofocus camera and for connectivity the device supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro USB port. The price for this model is also not yet disclosed by the company, but it will cost slightly higher than the Y200.
