Google Nexus 7 Unveiled, Packs Better Specs, New Android 4.3

The new Jelly Bean 4.3 will also be made available for Nexus 4, old Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus. It comes with the features like settings for multi-user accounts and ability to restrict content for different users on a device, like one does on PC. Bluetooth Smart, aka Bluetooth Low Energy, support was one of the expected features of Android 4.3, and it is indeed being introduced. It's joined by OpenGL ES 3.0 support, which Hugo Barra rightly identifies as "a big deal for game developers." NFC is also on board.

The other leaked features of Android 4.3 include: Open Mic - an always-on mic for voice commands ala Google Glass; Active Updates - part of the screen auto wakes up to show notifications and the clock in standby; Camera is launched by twisting your wrist twice; No on-screen shutter key, just touch anywhere on the viewfinder for the camera to take a picture; Holding your fingerfor longer on the screen makes the camera quickly take several snaps in succession.
