Garmin Launches Forerunner 165 Series Smartwatches in India
Garmin has introduced its latest Forerunner 165 series smartwatches in India, targeting professional runners and athletes. Priced at Rs 33,490, the series is available in four color options: Turquoise/Aqua, Black/Slate Grey, Mist Grey/Whitestone, and Berry/Lilac. Consumers can purchase these smartwatches at select premium brand stores.
Dan Bartel, VP of Global Consumer Sales at Garmin, emphasized the series' design for performance enhancement through detailed training analysis, including metrics such as pace, distance, wrist-based heart rate, and VO2 max.
The Forerunner 165 series features a vibrant AMOLED touchscreen display and boasts an impressive battery life, offering up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 19 hours in GPS mode. Equipped with advanced sensors like the Pulse OX Blood Oxygen Saturation monitor, Barometric Altimeter, and Compass, it also includes new-generation ambient light sensors.
Additionally, the smartwatch is sleek and lightweight, featuring a 43mm case size and colorful dual-shot bands. It supports music playback on the go, allowing users to download playlists directly from Spotify or Amazon Music and listen via wireless headphones without needing a phone.
Garmin's new range aims to cater to the needs of professional athletes by providing comprehensive monitoring tools to improve their performance daily.
