Fujifilm Unveils X-M5 Mirrorless Camera with AI-Powered Moving Object Detection

Fujifilm has launched its latest addition to the X Series, the X-M5 mirrorless digital camera, marking a new era in advanced photography and videography. Priced at Rs 83,999 for the body and Rs 94,999 with a 15-45mm Fujinon aspherical lens kit, the X-M5 will be available nationwide through offline and online platforms.
As the lightest model in the X Series, the X-M5 weighs just 355 grams and boasts a 26.1MP APS-C sensor powered by the X-Processor 5 image processing engine. It supports 6.2K video recording at up to 30fps in 10-bit, offering photographers and videographers high-quality output. The standout feature is its AI-powered subject detection autofocus, capable of tracking moving objects such as animals and vehicles with precision.
Koji Wada, Managing Director of Fujifilm India, stated, “The X-M5 embodies Fujifilm’s legacy of blending cutting-edge technology with an intuitive design. With this launch, we aim to strengthen our presence in India’s rapidly growing digital imaging market”.
The X-M5 comes in silver and black, featuring a premium finish. The in-body stabilisation (IBIS) ensures sharp images and videos even in low-light conditions. It offers 20 film simulation modes for creative flexibility. The camera also caters to modern content creators with its 9:16 vertical video mode and a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen display.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, making it easier to transfer files to smartphones and PCs. Optional accessories such as the Cooling Fan FAN-001 for continuous shooting in high temperatures and the Tripod Grip TG-BT for enhanced handheld stability are also available.
The X-M5 is poised to meet the demands of professional photographers and content creators with its innovative features and compact design.
