Bangalore: After the numerous delays that have dogged the fate of the Adam tablet, designed by Bangalore based startup Notion Ink, the tablet is finally set to ship starting this Wednesday. In a blogpost, Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan has mentioned that Adam has got the required clearance from FCC for it to start shipping.
The blog further described the product code of Adam to be NI3421A01, where NI stands for Notion Ink. Back in December, we had reported that the Android based Adam was available for pre-order. The tablet which was to release around mid-2010 has faced delays for many reasons.
The first set of pre-orders will be delivered first after which pre-order 2 will be started, said the blogpost. It also iterated about the content strategy in Adam that would include music, videos, books, and magazines and how they are collaborating with others to get the content.
