Price of 90,000 too high?

The price tag of Chormebox seems bit pricey at 90,000, where we can final deal of Intel i5 powered PC under 50,000. Although, Matt Thorne, Head of IT, Pinterest defends the price of Chromebox by saying, “When I was invited to take part in a beta test for Chromebox for meetings, I jumped on it. The price was right, which is important for a young company.”

“While legacy video conferencing systems can cost millions, we’ve spent a small fraction of that with Chromeboxes. Setting up our 60 devices was easy and people can use them without constant IT hand-holding,” Thorne said.

Chromebox maybe seem over priced when we consider the adaptability and less available apps. It is an error by Google to match the price of Chromebox to Apple’s Macbooks. On the other hand, Xolo and Nexian are very well priced and specs of it don’t seem to be a less powerful device.
