CES 2014: Smarter Gadgets For Easier Living


Samsung is introducing the Smart Home service at CES 2014. The three main services include, device control, which offers customized settings on their devices by the users, home views with built in cameras that provide real time views of the home and smart customer service features which alert users on their appliance servicing requirements. Set to work in tandem with Samsung range of products initially, the company plans to collaborate with partners for further product enhancements.

Now, how about reducing your carbon footprint? Travelling on C-MAX Solar Energi Concept car from Ford, the U.S. auto maker’s entry at the CES 2014 will reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions by four metric tons. The car has a gasoline engine combined with what is known as Fresnel lens, which acts like a magnifying glass to concentrate the sun’s rays on the vehicle’s roof mounted solar panels. The vehicle’s estimated combined city-highway mileage is 100 miles per gallon.

With numerous gadgets set to unfold at the CES 2014, the excitement is upbeat on the product revelations from the unconventional technology front as well.
