Canon Launches Three Powerful Compact Cameras

PowerShot SX50 HS – The Power to set your Sights Further

Physical mobility is a frequent obstacle that hampers a good shot – while a photographer can see and envision it; they cannot get close enough to a subject safely to capture the shot well. That is where the powerful zoom lens of the PowerShot SX50 HS comes in handy. The PowerShot SX50 HS expands its functionality with a powerful 50x (24-1200mm) Optical Zoom lens and it can go up to 2400mm with a 100x ZoomPlus telephoto feature. Despite the more powerful lens, Canon is still able to design the PowerShot SX50 HS with a more compact body with an ergonomic design for a more comfortable and secure grip.

At high zoom, even the slightest movement will cause blurry images. To overcome this issue, the PowerShot SX50 HS is equipped with a Zoom Framing Assist Lock button. Pressing the button will engage the function and drastically reduce camera shake for sharper telephoto images, even when operating the PowerShot SX50 HS without a tripod.

Zoom Framing Assist also has a seek function to help users find their subjects quickly even when zoomed in. By pressing the Zoom Framing Assist Seek button, the PowerShot SX50 HS will quickly zoom out to allow the photographer to locate the subject and adjust the framing with an assist frame that indicates the borders of the previous zoom position. Upon releasing the seek button, the lens will revert to its previous zoom position.

With these new PowerShot digital cameras, Canon empowers photographers with the technology to help overcome any obstacles for superb quality photos.
