Canon India unveils 15 new products

Bangalore: Canon India, has unveiled 15 new products, expanding its range to 82 IT peripherals products from its printing division. With the launch of these products the company aims to strengthen its stand as the market leader in India for printers.
Canon has a current market share of 34.5 percent in the laser printer market both in single function and multi function printers. The company expects that the new products will contribute more than 50 percent to the revenue of the printer division in 2010.
The newly launched products include 2 Single Format Inkjet Printers, 3 All-in-one Printers, 2 Laser Printers, 6 Projectors, 1 scanner and 1 Laser Multi-function device. Apart from that, the company has also showcased PIXMA MX876, an All-in-one printer with complete office solution.
Each of the printers unveiled has Wi-Fi, which is in response to the increasing demand for Wi-Fi platforms and devices in the country. The new products from Canon feature auto duplex printing, Wi-Fi capabilities and network capabilities to align with its corporate 'green commitment' and the need for cost reduction in printing by businesses, said Kensaku Konishi, President, Canon India.
