Bangalore: AT&T, a provider of telecommunication services, is likely to launch its new handset HTC Aria on the same day or time period when Apple plans to launch its iPhone 4G, according to online sources.
HTC Aria will be powered Android 2.1 with the latest version of Sense user interface. It has a five mega pixel camera, an optical joystick and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. One of the compact devices from the company, the HTC Aria will be the smallest Android phone till date, claims the company.
In early March, AT&T introduced its first Android-running phone, the Motorola Backflip, saying it was the first of five Android phones it had planned for 2010. HTC Aria is the second in the list.
If Apple launches the iPhone on competing networks in the U.S. market, it would be interesting to see HTC getting big on Android.
