Asus launches glasses free 3D laptop

Bangalore: Would you like to experience PC games on a 3D laptop without wearing its Glasses?. On the go with its incessant innovations, Asus has now cropped up with the world's first glasses-free 3D laptop. The display of this distinctive laptop was done at Computex in Taipei. This 3D laptop is an apt device for gaming without wearing the 3D glasses. This unique device is named as the Asus Republic of Gamers G53SX. It uses proprietary technology that allows it to convert the standard 2D images into 3D images. Nintendo's 3DS handheld device would be the parallel device to the Asus Republic of Gamers G53SX as reported by Kevin Parish for PC Gamer. The laptop's framework features a thermal design that use twin fans to draw cool air from the front of the case and twin rear exhausts to expel warm air out the back. The keyboard inclined 5 degree is also designed for convenient gaming use with backlit keys and a metallic, non-flexing base. As for now the product is not yet to be officially launched and the price is not yet revealed. The 3D device is backed by the laptop's 15-inch full HD screen, a Sandy Bridge quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU, Nvidia's discrete GeForce GTX 560M GPU (with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM), a Z68 motherboard, and a solid state hybrid drive with an SSD partition that runs around 10,000-RPM. The laptop is reported to use 'Unique technology' which works with a whole catalogue of games and multimedia content and switches 2D images into glasses-free 3D visuals. These systems are created without compromising brightness, contract or color fidelity, exceeding the output of older 3D technology that relies on glasses. Adding to this, the laptop can enable mixed mode containing one window, sporting 2D graphics and another in 3D running on the screen simultaneously. The mixed mode was the result of an advanced research. According to associates at PC gamer, it's basically "a giant Nintendo 3DS for playing WoW". Apparently, this device would has competitors like the HP Envy 17 3D (Core i7 720QM Processor 1.6GHz, 6GB RAM). A Slim, attractive design with full HD 1080p display. It includes active-shutter 3D glasses and offers great hardware at a price of 63,000, but its 3D implementation is not as good as that of laptops with Nvidia's 3D Vision.
