Asus Launches Affordable Tablet


Las Vegas: Asus has launched a new tablet, Memo 370T in Consumer Electronic Show 2010 at Las Vegas. Memo 370T is powered by the new quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB of RAM, sports a 7 inch display and runs on latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

With all such specifications it is surly a Kindle killer tablet. Amazon’s Kindle turned the tablet market with its 7 inch Kindle Fire tablet at an affordable price in 2011.But now with the launch Asus Memo 370T there will be a tough competition for Kindle in the market.

The 7 inch display features 1,280x800 pixels of resolution and IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology which delivers smooth scrolling menus. This tablet looks bit similar to Acer Iconic Tab A100 but a bit thicker and weighs only 400 grams.

Other specification includes 16 GB of storage, 8 MP powerful camera, microSD slot, micro USB port and micro HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 7 hours of battery backup. This tablet will be available in the second quarter of 2012 and is supposed to cost 13000.
