AlphaLearn: An Interactive Learning Windows Phone 7 App
Bangalore: Rage Communications, a digital communications agency and technology consultancy firm announced the launch of AlphaLearn, a mobile app for Windows Phone 7.
AlphaLearn is an interactive learning app for pre-schoolers exploring the alphabet. The app helps them learn the alphabet and the sounds they make. The app starts with a random display of alphabets. Tapping an alphabet brings up a larger display of the alphabet and a voice reading the alphabet. Using the app, the pre-schooler not only learns to identify the alphabet but also learns to pronounce it. The app is self-contained and doesnot present any options or settings screens, making it very child-friendly.
Launched a few weeks ago, the app has received more than 400 downloads in less than three weeks. The app is currently available for Windows devices. The app will soon be available for Android and iOS devices. According to Ajay Kumar, Asst Vice President, “The next version of the app will include more interactive child-friendly ways to reinforce the learning of alphabets. We are also planning to introduce more apps for children to facilitate interactive learning and extend the platform to other languages”.
With AlphaLearn, learning the alphabet is a fun activity for pre-schoolers. The app is available free on the Windows Marketplace.
“We all know how interactive learning is important for children in the pre-school age,” said JRK Rao, Managing Director of Rage Communications. “AlphaLearn engages the kids through audio and visual clues, providing some excitement in the learning process.”
