Xolo X1000 With Fastest 2GHz Processor Launched At Rs.19,999

Bangalore: Lava just launched its third Intel powered Smartphone in India – the Xolo X1000 at 19,000. The phone runs on the first generation Intel Atom Z2480 processor codenamed Medfield, released by Intel last year. This chipset is clocked at 2 GHz, unlike Lava’s Xolo X900 (powered by Intel Atom Z2460) and features hyper threading that was previously seen in Motorola Razr I in UK.

There is a supplement to the processor, called PowerVR SGX540 GPU, coupled with a RAM of 1GB. Though the overall performance of the chipset is said to be the fastest, it is not so when compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

Xolo X1000 sports a 4.7 inch edge-to-edge curved glass screen of 720p resolution, delivering 314 pixels per inch. Flaunting with its unibody design, the Smartphone has an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. Here, pictures can be shot at 15 frames per second with the 8 megapixel camera and it allows full High Definition videos at 1080p.

The phones internal memory capacity is 8GB and there is a microSD card slot for expandable memory. The battery performance is good enough at 1900mAh.

However, what seems unfortunate for Intel is that the chipset has not yet been optimized for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Xolo X1000 only runs on Android 4.0 ICS.
