Xiaomi's Most Awaited Redmi Note 3 Launched in India


BENGALURU: The China based smartphone manufacturing company Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 priced at 9,999 in India. This device features a Snapdragon 650 processor unlike originally where the Redmi Note 3 was available with a Mediatek chipset. The sale starts from March 9 this year. This purchase date is available only for pre-registered users and other Redmi buffs have to either wait or register soon!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 16MP rear camera, and 4050mAh battey and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. Two variants of the Redmi Note 3 will be available in the Indian market. One version will feature 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, and will be priced at 9,999 whereas the other version will sport overwhelming specs like 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and will be priced at 11,999.

Redmi note 3 body is crafted out of metal and the front is dominated by a full-HD display which is adjustable to light conditions. Display dynamically adjusts the contrast of pixels to make the content more visible and crisp under bright daylight. Moreover, for the nights, the phone provides a reading mode option, which, when turned on will cut down blue light emitted by the display—basically functioning as a blue light filter. This feature will help reduce eye fatigue and even save some power in the battery, claims the company. The Redmi Note 3 runs on the Android 5.1.1 operating system with MIUI 7. The smartphone’s innards are powered by Snapdragon 650 processor, which is the first Qualcomm Technologies’ chipset equipped with ARM’s top-end Cortex-A72 performance cores, claims the company. Xiaomi titles that Redmi Note 3 is a very fast device with an Antutu score of over 77,000. It features the latest Qualcomm Adreno 510 GPU, which provides impressive graphics performance for a smooth gaming experience making it an asset for the gamers. Its next-gen Adreno 510 graphics processor delivers a fluid gaming experience. The hexa-core processor delivers up to 1.8GHz clock speed, supports dual-channel memory and eMMC 5.0 flash.  It also has a fingerprint sensor which uses capacitive scanning technology for accurate, secure and fast performance. There are a number of useful fingerprint sensor features incorporated into MIUI 7, including the ability to lock apps, access hidden folders, and even take a front or rear camera selfie using just your fingerprint, informs the company.
