Xiaomi To Feature Fingerprint Sensor in Redmi Note 2




BANGALORE: Earlier this week, the launch date of the next Xiaomi handset. The next Xiaomi device is said to be the Phablet series, Redmi Note 2. It is dated to be launched towards the end of this month, June 29th and the home screen screenshot of the handset came from the company’s CEO Lei Jun, reports NDTV.

Addition to that, the picture of the new device has been leaked on Twitter and it reveals the new features along with altered design. The image of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 was posted by a twitter user @leaksfky.

The image of the device promises that there will be a fingerprint sensor located below the camera. The Note 2 will sport a circular design ditching the square shaped sensor. The upcoming handset will completely boast of a metal body and the volume rocker along with a wake up button placed right side of the handset.

However, the specifications were not leaked alongside the image. On the brighter side, this very phone has passed the China’s Quality Certification. Yet we can predict the specs of the device as it will possess a 5.5-inch full HD display. Moving on to the camera side, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front-facing camera can be expected.

It is also said that, there will be a battery larger than 3000mAh and it supports 4G LTE connectivity like the current generation phones. As far as the processor is concerned, Xiaomi usually feature the latest processor hence we can expect Helio X10 chipset from MediaTek.

Although, there was another report that said, Redmi Note 2 will pack in the Snapdragon 410 processor. All these speculations sound the upcoming handset to be a stunner and the official announcement of Redmi Note 2 is not very far. Therefore, let’s wait for Xiaomi to introduce the phone on June 29th.
