Xiaomi Mi 5 Specs Leaked, May Launch in December

BANGALORE: After Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Nexus, another entity that keeps the tech lovers on their toes is the flagship Smartphone from Xiaomi. The Mi 5 is the expected Smartphone in the near future and it is most rumoured handset on the internet.

According to the rumour that was spoken by Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang, the upcoming Mi 5 device will powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 820 processor. If that is true, then the flagship device from Xiaomi will be expected come out in December.

As Qualcomm officials said, the new processors will be shipped in the first quarter of 2016. But Jiutang quotes, “The Company will send the chips to manufacturers in December, and Xiaomi could launch its flagship smartphone in the same month itself.”

This will totally prove the earlier speculation that Xiaomi will choose MediaTek Helio X20 over Snapdragon 820 chipset. The Helio X20, a deca-core processor recently spotted on a benchmark website with a leading score of over 73,000.

Further-more, the leakster @Leaksfly posted a set of specifications that holds good to the upcoming Mi 5 Smartphone. The post read a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with ultra-slim bezels and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi flagship is expected to sport a 16/32GB internal memory option. A 16MP primary camera and 8MP front-facing cameras are expected and a fingerprint sensor, wireless charging support and an USB Type-C port are also predicted.
