Xiaomi Mi 4i: Tipped To Launch At 'Global Mi Phone Premiere' In India

BANGALORE: The Chinese Apple, Xiaomi, has planned to globally launch its flagship Smartphone in India on 23rd of this month. The specs of the next handset have been leaked out in the websites, reports IBN Live.

The company has invited all the major tech lovers for its global event and the CEO and Founder of Xiaomi, Lei Jun along with Bin Lin, co-founder, will attend the event. The International VP, Hugo Barra, will also join the launch the global event. The invite carried a message “i is coming,” throwing the hint of possible name for the device Xiaomi Mi 4i.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i’s specs have been listed both on the Singapore IDA and GeekBench. The reports say the device will be powered by a 1.65GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core, 64-bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop posted on MyDrivers.

The specs resemble another speculated Smartphone ‘Ferrari’. But the new flagship will be a variant of earlier flagship Mi4 which sports 4.9-inch full HD display. Xiaomi is looking for more profit than ever after entering into Indian Market last July.

The Xiaomi devices were exclusively marketed by online-retailer Flipkart until April 8th of this month as the company declared its partnership with Snapdeal and Amazon. Xiaomi has also undertaken a partnership with retail chain The Mobile Store to increase the sales three folds in India.

Further-more, Xiaomi has joined hands with private telecom Bharti Airtel which makes its firm stand in order to rule the Indian Smartphone market.
