Xiaomi Mi 4: High-End Phone With Mid Range Price Tag

BANGALORE: Xiaomi entered the Indian market with the Mi 3 making it the most affordable Smartphone with all the high-end specs of that time. The demand for this device rocketed sky high as it was introduced in a limited number after which it was discontinued.

After 2 quarters of the year, Xiaomi came up with its 2014 flagship phone that is Mi 4. This time Mi 4 comes with a face lift and subtle change in the hardware specification when compared to its predecessor, so what are those things that make this phone a stand out? Past success of Xiaomi’s Smartphones, the merry customers has given a nick name of “China’s Apple”, The Xiaomi Mi 4 resembles Apple’s iPhone 5 or 5S, and adding steel in the frame makes the phone durable and stylish. Even the buttons on the right side are metallic including the power button beneath the volume rockers.

Around the phone we can notice clean elements that include the 3.5mm headphone jack up top, the micro USB port on the bottom and the speakers are also at the bottom. The steel frame houses the 5-inch screen and then on the back the glossy plastic.

The Mi 4 has a pretty respectable bezel all around which makes the phone not to seem very big. Underneath the screen are the capacitive key followed by the LED notification light. However, the combination of steel frame and plastic back does not go well as we think it would.
