World's 'Lightest 13-inch Ultrabook' Comes to India

Bangalore: The slimmest and lightest ultrabook in the world ‘Toshiba Protege Z830’ is launched in India.  The ultrabook weighs just 1.12kg and measures only 15.9mm thick at its thickest point. But this beauty comes with a sharp price of 96290               making it the most expensive one in the market.

Portege Z830 will come with an option of been powered by Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors according to buyers choice. It sports a 13.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 128GB SSD, a backlit and spill-resistant keyboard, three USB ports-one 3.0 and two 2.0, SD card slot and a battery life of up to 8 hours. The device also has a provision for up to 6GB DDR3 RAM and supports Ethernet jack, HDMI and VGA output for connectivity. Its high price, shaky screen and non-removable battery are the only downsides which will hinder its sales when compared to other ultrabooks.

"The Portege Z380 is a testimony to Toshiba's engineering achievement and expert craftsmanship. I feel the ultrabook will be a great value for both mobile business professionals and consumers," said Shivakumar N, vice president at Toshiba India.
