What Happened To  Lumia 620's India Launch?

Bangalore: Nokia Lumia 620, the cheapest Windows Phone 8 Smartphone which was to be launched in the second week of February in India has not shown up till date. According to the company’s plans Nokia was supposed to reach India by now.

The month of January saw, Lumia 920, 820 and 620 unveiled in one go with Nokia bringing its complete portfolio of top, mid and entry level phones to the front.

According to Vipul Mehrotra, director, smart devices, Nokia India, the company’s aim was to address the needs of different consumers with different budgets. This meant that budget would not be a hindrance to the consumer.

Nokia’s Lumia 620 has a 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor featuring a 3.8 inch touch screen ClearBlack LCDdisplay with multi touch point support. The display supports a resolution of 480 x 800 featuring, light time-out, orientation sensor, proximity sensor, colour boosting and brightness control. Nokia also added its exclusive range of services to it such as Nokia Music, Nokia Radio, Nokia Transport, Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps and Nokia City Lens. These applications come pre-loaded with the phone.

Nokia 620 also features an 8GB on-board display for which some of it is reserved for the phone. It also has a micoSD card slot to expand the memory. However, what seems a problem here for the device is the 1200 mAh battery.
