Washable Keyboard from Logitech

Bangalore: How many times have we tried to clean our keyboards but all the effort goes in vain? Keyboards are something that we can’t keep clean every day, they are magnet for dust and if you eat next to your keyboard you can be sure of the fact that food crumbs are bound to fall and lodge themselves comfortably in the space between the keys. If you gave pets at home their hair always end up in the keyboard. All we can do is either try our luck at cleaning it with an electronic friendly cloth or we have to dust it with a paint brush. But it never gets cleaned properly.

This is where the new keyboard from Logitech swoops in to our rescue. Logitech launched a innovative Washable Keyboard K310.  It is just like any other keyboard except the fact that you can wash this on in water. You can actually dip the device into the wash basin and give it a through wash or you can use a wet cloth to wipe it.

The characters on the keys have been laser printed and given a UV coat as well so they will not fade with repeated washes. The device also has holes in the back which let water escape easily and also allows air to enter and dry it.

The device is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. U.S. will be the first country to get this gadget in the markets and it is reportedly priced around 2,500 as translated with retail price of $39.99 in U.S. It is expected to reach the European markets in October.
