Bangalore: The Indian smartphone market is already flooded with wide varieties of smartphones. The two biggest electronic trade show; Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas and Mobile World Congress which took place in Barcelona introduced many mobile devices like tablets and smartphones from entry-level to high-end. All those newly launched smartphones are debuting into Indian market with huge expectation. Have a look at the upcoming ones in the smartphone range.

1. Asus Padfone

The Asus Padfone is a three-in-one device; it can be a smartphone, tablet and a netbook too when the smartphone is placed into the tablet’s dock.  

The device sports a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor with NVIDIA Tegra 3 and runs of Android 4.0. Other features include 4.3-inch Super AMOLED smartphone display, 10.1-inch display  for tablet with LED backlight, 8 MP camera with 1080p video recording, 1.2 MP front camera, 16 GB memory, 1 GB RAM. PadFone will be available in the stores by April 2012, but the company has not announced its price yet.

2. Huawei Ascend P1 S

The Huwei Ascend P1 S is undoubtedly the slimmest smartphone in the world. It is just 6.68 mm thick and weighs 110 grams; at this thickness this smartphone is thinner than a pencil.

It features 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 540x960 pixels of resolution. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processor, 1 GB of RAM with SGX 540 graphic processing unit and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

It also has 8 MP rear camera with dual LED flash capable of capturing 1080p HD video, has a 1.3 MP front facing camera and 4 GB of internal storage.  For connectivity it has 4G connectivity via HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPRS, microUSB, GPS and Bluetooth. This smartphone is priced between 25,000 to 27,000.
