The companies like Linaro, Toshiba, Quanta, Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT), Linux Solutions, LeafLabs, NK Labs, IDT Systems, BayLibre, New Deal Design, Metamorph Software, X5 Systems, Mixel, Opersys, NewOldBits, and Oxford System are part of this project.

The Project ARA Smartphone is a modular Smartphone where a user can change the physical components of the device without going through hectic removing all the screws. In the ARA phone user has to just slide in and out of the components they want on their Smartphone.
