Tizen OS: A Differentiating Factor in Samsung Gear 2

BANGALORE: Off late, Samsung has been quite optimistic about wearable smart devices and this year saw the launch of three new smart watches. Just over six months after it launched its first Smartwatch, Samsung has already returned with the second-generation Gear 2. Although, not all received the original Galaxy Gear very well, the Gear 2 powered by Tizen (its own homegrown OS) instead of Android, boasts a refined design as well as a built-in IR blaster and heart rate monitor. Moreover, this latest Smartwatch boasts a number of improvements over the original.

Gear 2 looks far better than its predecessors do. It sports a brand new OS and offers wider compatibility. But this sequel has a high price tag and limited app support. Samsung is also competing against itself with the lower-cost Gear Fit and another Smartwatch on the way that will run Android Wear.

Priced at 21,500, this newly launched smart device is the perfect smart watch that can be easily connected to the Smartphone. The 1.63 inches super AMOLED screen with the Smart Notification feature offers great touch sensitivity. As it comes with IP67 certification, it is dust and water resistant.

Gear 2 also has a changeable strap that gives it vibrant and elegant look. It also has inbuilt 2MP camera, Heart Rate Sensor, Pedometer, S Health, Standalone Music Player, and lot more to make your smart watch experience a fun filled one.
