The Dark Knight "Rises" on iOS, Android on July 20

Bangalore: As fans await the release of the next installment in the superhero Batman series, the game is also all set to launch on the same day as on Apple iTunes and Google Play. The Dark Knight shall also rise on all gadgets that run on iOS and Android operating system.

These days movies and games are strongly influenced by each other. We see a lot of movie being adapted for games like Tomb Raider and vice versa as seen in the case of Prince of Persia, which was a game that was made into a movie. To ride on the popularity of the Batman movies, Gameloft has announced that they will launch a game which is based on the official The Dark Knight Rises movie. The game will retain the same title as the movie and will be launched on 20^th July 2012, which also happens to be the day when the movie will make its way to the theaters.

Along with Apple iOS and Google Android this game will also be available for Java mobile platforms.

Gameloft has already posted the official promotional video of the game on YouTube and along with this a lot more information of the game is available on the Facebook App Store. There is also a secret URL in the game video which leads you directly to the landing page revealing the secret code which will help you unlock content in the game.

Apart from the release date nothing else has been confirmed. The price of the game has not been finalized yet.  It isn’t also clear whether the game would be available worldwide on the respective stores.

This isn’t the first superman hero inspired game to be developed by Gameloft. They had also developed a game based on the latest superhero movie, The Amazing Spiderman.
