Sony Xperia U is Now Available Online for 16,499

Bangalore: Sony Xperia U, which was launched few months back in Mobile World Congress 2012 at Barcelona, will be available in India shortly.

The smartphone was spotted in two online shopping sites; Letsbuy and Flipkart. These two sites are selling this smartphone with a price tag of 17,399 and 16,499 respectively. You can pre-order this smartphone in both these sites.

The Xperia U is an entry-level smartphone featuring a 3.5 inch ‘Reality Display’ with company’s own WhiteMagic display technology powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine for ultra-bright image.

It is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, can be upgraded to latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device comes with a 5 MP camera featuring geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and image stabilization. It also has xLoud 3D surround sound 4 GB internal memory but no memory slot for expandable memory. For connectivity it has microUSB 2.0, HDMI port DLNA, NFC (Near Field Communications), WiFi Hotspot and Bluetooth.
