Sony Xperia SP Price Slashed To Rs.25, 490, Up For Preorders

Bangalore: Japanese electronic giant, Sony on last week has launched its Xperia SP in India at a price tag of 27, 490. But interestingly, a couple of online retailers like Infibeam and Flipkart are now offering the device for pre-orders at a discounted rate with a reduction of 2000. Besides, both retailers the device’s pegged to ship on April 24 but the company is yet to confirm, as reported by Mobiletor.

 After the release of its high-end flagship Smartphones Xperia Z and Xperia ZL last month, the company has come up with this mid-range handset with a price tag that’s at par with Galaxy S3. The hardware used for the device is fairly new. The Smartphone comes with a Cortex A15 based Snapdragon S4 Pro SOC which is found on the flagship Z, with 2 cores only.

The phone sports a 4.6-inch HD 1280*720p display with Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 technology and protective coating of Corning Gorilla glass. It runs on Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean and especially in terms of storage, the device is equipped with 8 GB of built-in storage. In addition, a microSD expansion slot is also provided that supports 32GB storage.

The main highlight of the device is its 8.0 megapixel rear camera. Alongside, it features an exclusive Exmor mobile image sensor, 16X zoom, LED flash, 3D Sweep Panorama, Full HD video recording and a secondary VGA camera on front. It delivers up to 18 hours and 53 minutes of talktime or 734 hours of standby on a single charge of 2370mAh battery.

Currently, Xperia SP is available for pre-orders through online retailers and Flipkart is offering the device in two colors, black and white.
