Sony Announced Rugged Handy Cam-HRS-G77

Bangalore: Sony has announced the launch of rugged handy cam - HRS-G77. This hand cam will be available by the May end; first the camera will hit the Japan market and later the company will make it available worldwide.

The camera is fully loaded with 20.4 mega pixel image sensor, capable of recording video up to 28 mbps, 10x optical zoom so you can see the pictures more clearly, 3 inch touch screen which make this handy cam easier to use. It also has 16 GB internal storage, GPS chip for geo-tagging photos. This handy cam is totally water proof so you can use this handy cam under water 16 feet for an hour. It also takes panoramic photos and support face detection.

The 29.8 mm lens comes with water-repellent fluorine coating which gives a good drainage. For shooting under water the camcorder has a water mode which automatically selects white balance and brightness.

The company has not yet announced the Indian market price but it is expected to be priced around 45,000.
