Smart Homes: Who Will Win Apple Or Google?

BENGALURU: The race among Apple and Google has started long back across PCs, Smartphones, tablets, software and even wearable devices. Currently the competition prevailing is about smart homes.

While Google introduced smart thermostat and carbon monoxide detector maker Nest, on other hand Apple brought forward a home automation platform for smart devices, Homekit.

 Both the tech giants are struggling to reach the top, but until the technology becomes more user friendly they are not supposed to get such market penetration as assumed, as reported by Techradar.

Standard Issues

Home Automation products are expected to make life of the consumers easy, but ironically it has not reached that goal. In order to make the ‘smart homes’ smarter, getting a standard networking protocol would work better than using a different one.

Google and Apple have their own networking protocol, but now it totally depends upon the consumers and the market that whose network they will choose. The adopted network will benefit the company and the use of its products will get maximized in the household.
