Samsung's 4GB RAM To Compliment 64-Bit Processor In Galaxy S5

Young-Hyun Jun, executive vice president, memory sales & marketing, Samsung Electronics, said, "This next-generation LPDDR4 DRAM will contribute significantly to faster growth of the global mobile DRAM market, which will soon comprise the largest share of the entire DRAM market."

Samsung is set to unveil the 64-bit processor for its first Smartphone that is the Galaxy S5 this year. The desktop-class 64-bit CPU structured architecture requires at least 4GB RAM to process a resource-consuming tasks. However, there are no available apps in other platforms like the Android, Windows Phone or Apple’s IOS that require such computing power.

This release comes after Apple, which had already introduced the world’s first mobile processor with 64-bit architecture. However, it does not have that real user interface as all its apps are developed for 32-bit chips on the iPhone and iPads even though apple does not reveal the amount of RAM its gadgets offer, external sources have reveled that the iphone 5s has 1GB RAM after a teardown.
