Bangalore: Electronic giant Samsung unveiled a new television at the Consumer’s Electronic Show (CES). The device grabbed attention of the show with a big keynote presentation which focused on TV as it’s themed for the year 2013.

“We have developed TVs that respond to people’s needs and lifestyles, TVs that know in advance what people want to watch, TVs that have the power to create and the ultimate lean-back experience”, stated Boo- Keun Yoon, Samsung President. Adding in, he said, the new features are designed to enable TV-viewing easy, as consumers have multiple choices in what they watch. “The TV is almost human," Tim Baxter, president of Samsung America, told the audience.

The company stated F9500 television otherwise known as “multi-view” is first of its kind to offer this feature attributing to the advancement of screen technology.  It uses a special new interface termed as Smart Hub that sucks in data about TV shows from the cable/ satellite provider and directs the viewers to the particular shows they need to view.

In addition, it connects to social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube where the text inputs are accepted by the interface. The search function enables the viewers to be more informed if and when an episode is available on live TV as well as downloading apps for streaming the content from popular services such as Netflix or Hulu. Since the new smart TVs permits to play certain games, the sets operate more like mobile computing devices with extra large screens. 

Apart from that, there was a briefing on the minor updates and recap on Samsung’s flagship Smartphones, mobiles and its PC which is already available in the market.
