Samsung Note 7 Fate Dooms to Ash after Recall Smartphones Continue to Blow Up


BENGALURU: Samsung has freezed the manufacturing of Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after numerous reports resurfaced regarding the new phones catching up fire, according to the country’s Yonhap news agency. The firm had hoped that the issue with smartphone blowing up would be solved after the replacement of the batteries. Unfortunately, the revamped models with new batteries also continued to burst into flames that enforced company to put an end to the production of such model.

This issue came into picture when multiple users reported the problem soon after the release of Galaxy Note 7 previous month. In order to ensure safety of the customer, firm decided to take such a huge step.

When the problem started proliferating firm called for a recall programme, customers were asked to return back their smartphones instantly and assured to replace with a new one without any flaw in the battery technology.

Recently, one of the passengers in the plane experienced this mishap, as the mobile was seen smoking up and appeared to be on its way to catch fire; consequently for which the plane had to be evacuated. As of now, Samsung has not stated anything with regards to halt of the production.

Meanwhile, AT&T stated that they are no longer replacing Note 7 for now, until the complete investigation is done. Although replacement of smartphone caused $5bn loss, it did not hamper the share price. In fact share price found a big rise last Friday, after its profits jumped 6 pct.
