Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Arrives With 3GB RAM

Bangalore: Samsung has unveiled its much awaited Galaxy Note 3 Smartphone at Berlin Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA 2013). The device sported a new leathery design on its exterior and showed-off new features that would make gadget savvies excited at the first glimpse.

Adopting the crafty leathery design for the first time, Samsung ditched the plastic exterior and has replaced it with leather back having elegant stitches around the edges, which reminds of the warm, classy feeling of holding an actual notebook. The front panel outline, however still carries off with S4-like plastic border, which comes off in three different colors: black, white and pink.

Coming to the hardware, Note 3 stands out with a beautiful 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen, one of the biggest in the market. It’s 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 168 grams. The phone has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera, which is capable of shooting 4K video at 1080p resolution and record at 60fps. Coming to the power house, Note 3 is said to come with two different processors with 3GB RAM in both variants. The LTE version will have a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and the 3G variant will run on 1.9GHz Octa Core processor. The latter is likely to be released at the Indian market. The phone also has 32GB/64GB storage options and has a powerful 3,200mAh battery.

The star attraction for the Note3 device is its revamped S-pen which brings many cool new features to the table. S-pen unlocks the Smartphones actual potential in terms of power and speed. The Air Command feature, which was also seen in Note 2, has been amplified to perform a variety of sleek actions that projects a new dimension to multi-tasking. With this feature, when the S-pen is brought near to the screen, a fanned-out menu opens up to Action Memos, S Finder, Scrapbook, and Pen Window.

Of these, the Pen Window is the latest feature using which you can jump from one application to another by literally drawing a window on the screen without closing the current application. Another feature, the Multi-vision technology allows multiple Note 3 devices to be placed next to each other to get a bigger view of the images and videos through a larger display.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will start shipping from September 25, across 149 countries. Price in India is yet to be announced.
