Rumours Suggest LG Set To Make The Nexus 5 2015

BANGALORE: Last week, Google’s flagship Smartphone Nexus 6 received a price cut, hinting at the arrival of new Nexus device soon. Earlier speculations suggest that the upcoming Nexus Smartphone will be manufactured by Huawei. But now, AndroidPIT reports that LG may be producing the next iteration of Nexus, reports Tech2.

The report also reveals that the Nexus 5 (2015) will not carry identical design as LG’s flagship Smartphone LG G4. Instead, the design of Nexus will be worked from the scratch and as per the rumor there will be two Nexus devices entering this year.

It is not surprising if Google chooses LG over Motorola because the LG Nexus 5 was a big hit among the consumer when compared to Motorola’s Nexus 6. On the other hand, neither Google nor LG has given out any confirmation about the rumors prevailing. However, the launch date for Android M OS is scheduled for August; hence we can expect the next Nexus device to debut along with it.

Android Police reported the next Nexus 5 (2015) will be manufactured by LG and Huawei. The Huawei manufactured Nexus 5 will be codenamed Bullhead and it will come with a 5.7-inch display. While   LG Nexus 5 will sport a 5.2-inch display with the codename Angler.

Both Angler and Bullhead are expected to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. Google already introduced flagship tablet – Nexus 9 earlier this year; therefore, there won’t be any new installment in the tablet side of the company.
