Not Happy with the New MacBook Pro? Have a Look at these Windows Alternatives

BENGALURU: While the much-awaited launch of the latest Apple MacBook pro came to an end, some of the audiences were disgruntled about the features that Apple had offered. For instance, the newly introduced touch bar with the sensitive OLED panel seems attractive and vibrant; however, sporting all standardized ports with a four USB Type-C takes away the excitement in the audiences.

Looking into the drawbacks, the newly designed Apple MacBook featured USB Type-C ports instead of the regular USB A ports, which makes the Apple user less acquainted with the product. Moreover, transferring contents from SD card into the MacBook Pro is likely more time consuming as it requires the use of a separate adapter. After all, cost becomes a prominent factor for purchasing Apple MacBook; the basic model with touch bar starts at Rs 1, 55,900 and additional charges for the adapters. These drawbacks make us think about an alternative which is none other than Windows.

The first and the foremost Windows product that strikes our mind is Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Along with surface type cover and surface pen, it is well-suited as an alternative to MacBook Pro. The surface pro 4 comes with an excellent 12.3 inch IPS LCD Pixel Sense display and boasts 2736*1824 high pixel resolutions with a 3.2 aspect ratio. Dell XPS 13 is another well suited laptop as an alternative to   MacBook pro.  It houses a 6th generation Intel Core i7 6500U with Intel HD 520 Graphics and 8GB RAM.

Lenovo manufactured Lenovo Yoga 900 can also be classified into the category of alternatives to MacBook. Powered by an Intel Core i7 6500U, it measures 15mm thick and weighs just around 1.27kg. The highlight of Yoga is its dual-core hyper-threaded CPU with a base clock speed of 2.5GHz and turbo boost frequency of 3.1GHz.
